For the recent 3 day weekend, we headed to Coco Beach with two other families and their kids. It was our first “local” trip, meaning it did not involve a plane trip. We took a bus bright and early Saturday morning and then boarded a small boat which took us to a beautiful private island called Coco Beach. The beach is located at Behija, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro. Once we arrived I completely forgot about Manila, the crazy traffic and the poor air quality. We had entered a little paradise with crystal clear water surrounded by hills full of coconut palms. And there was a constant ocean breeze! All of the bungalows in Coco beach are made with natural materials, so the resort blends seamlessly into the natural surroundings. These little weekend trips are perfect reminders of what the Philippines is all about!

Even with her sunglasses, she’s cuter than a celebrity baby. But, most of all, I want to go to Coco Beach. How long did it take you to get there from Manila? Watch out, or you’ll have more Fullertons visiting you than you know what to do with!
come on over! we have plenty more beaches to explore (i think 7,107 to be exact). for coco beach, it was a 2-hour car trip and then 1-hour ferry that dropped off us right at the resort. it was lots of fun and we island-hopped to 2 other beaches during our weekend there…
